Renie feels she is fortunate to be a part of the healthcare profession for the past 23 years. During these years, she has enjoyed the clinical, management, and recruiting aspects of healthcare. Renie works as the Clinical Recruiter at LakeView Community Hospital in Paw Paw, Michigan. Two of her most rewarding aspects of her journey are providing exceptional customer service and encouraging others to embark on healthcare careers. In Renie's free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and fishing. Renie comments, "I feel honored to have met such unique people and I look forward to many new experiences along the way."

Lisa Feighner - Director, Member Services - Michigan Health Council

Lisa serves as the Director, Member Services with the Michigan Health Council, a nonprofit organization that addresses healthcare workforce in our great state. In this role, Lisa oversees programs that are dedicated to expanding the distribution of health services and encouraging youth to explore the vast number of careers in healthcare. Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, and their 2 children and looks forward to pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Services Administration.

Barb VanDyke, RN, BSN - Senior Recruiter - Spectrum Health

Having had the privilege to work with some of the finest nurses, physicians, pharmacists, researchers and scientists in the country throughout her career with Spectrum Health, she finds the role of healthcare recruitment continually challenging and exciting in the search for the brightest and best to provide exceptional patient care. She is currently a Senior Recruiter at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Having held positions as a staff nurse, a clinical manager, staff educator and a recruiter has given her insight into the world that combines healthcare and business, all with a focus on each individual patient and family. She believes that MiAHCR and NAHCR both provide professional support and learning as well as collegial relationships that support innovative thinking and planning. She and her husband, Dan, are very proud of their 3 children, all college graduates. Michelle has a Masters degree in Social Work, Ben has a Masters degree in Fine Arts and is currently residing in DenHague, Netherlands as a Fulbright Scholar and Mark has Bachelors in Business. The joy of her life are her 3 grandchildren, Brynn, Olivia and Julian.

Having worked in the healthcare field in various capacities for the last 20 years, Mary Ann is excited to be a member of the MiAHCR Board. For over eight years she has been part of the Human Resources Department at Mary Free Bed and the last four years have been in Recruitment. She recruits for everything from Nursing to Management to entry level positions. Working with so many different managers as well as meeting such diverse individuals make every day exciting! Outside of work, Mary Ann fills her time with community theatre, gardening, travel and reading.

Laura Miller - Personnel Specialist - Oaklawn Hospital

Laura has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Evangel University, Springfield, MO and has worked in the healthcare field for the past sixteen years. She has worked in Human Resources for the past eight years, recruiting among many other responsibilities for Oaklawn Hospital. Laura joined MiAHCR in 2006 and enjoys the rewarding information she receives at the meetings and building new relationships with the members. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with family/friends, scrapbooking, cardmaking and baking desserts.
