Lisa is a Recruiter with Sparrow Health System in Lansing, MI. Sparrow Health System consists of over 700 licensed beds, 7,200 associates, and over 800 physicians. Lisa successfully recruits for nursing and allied health professionals. Prior to her role with Sparrow, Lisa served as the Director, Member Services with the Michigan Health Council, a nonprofit organization that addresses healthcare workforce in the State of Michigan. Lisa feels privileged to work with such an outstanding group of HR professionals from healthcare organizations throughout the state. Without their amazing support and input, the association would not be what it is today. Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, and their 2 children.

Linda Maue - Recruitment Specialist - Metro Health

Linda serves as a recruiter of clinical and non-clinical employees at Metro Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is a veteran in the recruitment field with 26 years of experience, seven of those years with Metro Health. Prior to her current position, Linda also worked at American Careers. Linda understands that her efforts to recruit top employees results in excellent patient care and patient satisfaction. She maintains contact with many of the employees she brings into Metro, watching them grow and develop in their careers. When asked about a favorite job memory, Linda cites a time when she was having difficulty reaching a candidate to offer a job. She wound up calling the person at home on Christmas Eve to extend the offer, and the candidate was thrilled! Linda and her husband David make their home in northeast Grand Rapids and have two daughters and a precious granddaughter.

Barb VanDyke - Talent Acquisition Specialist - Spectrum Health Hospital Group

Barb is a Talent Acquisition Specialist with Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Spectrum Health is West Michigan's leader in health care and one of the area's largest employers. Barb currently supports the talent needs for the Nursing, Research and Quality. She has been with the Spectrum Health Talent team for 10 years, has a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Michigan and is a certified healthcare Recruiter (CHCR) through NACHR. "I love finding talent that is caring, innovative and respectful and talent that I am proud to have care for the patients and families that seek our support. I love the ever changing challenge. It includes the search for helicopter pilots to secretaries to clinical scientists to management to Nursing. Finding a diverse talent pool is included as one of the most important challenges to ensure quality of care and best outcomes." Barb is also currently actively working with the CDC Grant project with Michigan's Region 6 in developing the Pandemic Influenza Plan.

Having worked in the healthcare field in various capacities for the last 20 years, Mary Ann is excited to be a member of the MiAHCR Board. For over eight years she has been part of the Human Resources Department at Mary Free Bed and the last four years have been in Recruitment. She recruits for everything from Nursing to Management to entry level positions. Working with so many different managers as well as meeting such diverse individuals make every day exciting! Outside of work, Mary Ann fills her time with community theatre, gardening, travel and reading.

Laura Miller - Personnel Specialist - Oaklawn Hospital

Laura has a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Evangel University, Springfield, MO and has worked in the healthcare field for the past sixteen years. She has worked in Human Resources for the past eight years, recruiting among many other responsibilities for Oaklawn Hospital. Laura joined MiAHCR in 2006 and enjoys the rewarding information she receives at the meetings and building new relationships with the members. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with family/friends, scrapbooking, cardmaking and baking desserts.
